For Web Messenger version you do not require any installation of additional software other than a Web Browser.
eBuddy also have mobile client for various mobile phones, you just have to install that and sign up for a ebuddy id. I am a regular user of ebuddy mobile client and chat daily with my yahoo, facebook, google and msn friends when I’m in bed.
