Tablet PC's - The More In Less

By:- www.rksharma.co.cc

Tablets Tablets and Tablets a new trend in mobile computing starts after the huge success of the iPad and now all major vendors of PCs and mobile devices are coming out with their designs. Right now Tablets is a luxury product but soon this will become need like mobile phones and Laptops.

The International Consumer Electronics Show CES-2011 has seen a lot of Tablet's release. 2011 will be the witness of Huge Tablet launch with some eyecatching and attractive marketing specs. Android is still the favorite OS but some Tablets have Windows 7 as their OS and some have dual-boot OS (Windows/Android).

Samsung and Olive has already introduced their Tablet in Indian Market and the most awaited Indian origin Notion Ink has strats Pre Ordering their Adam too.

Top upcoming Tablet of 2011:

  • Motorola Xoom
  • Notion Ink Adam
  • HP WebOS Tablet
  • BlackBerry Playbook
  • Asus Eee Pad Slider

But the question is can Tablets kill Netbooks?
Tablets have many advantages over netbooks, but netbooks have very few advantages over tablets. Tablets can be used as Netbooks too just add a stand and a keyboard. So in my view Netbook days are near to the end.

Right now for showing some attitude there are some Android Tablets in the Gray Market with low hardware configuration and that can be easily found on ebay too.

Install Windows 7/Vista from USB Drive

By:- www.rksharma.co.cc

Requirements:
·        USB Flash Drive (Minimum 4GB)
·        Windows 7 or Vista installation files.

Below steps will create bootable Windows 7/Vista USB drive using which Windows 7/Vista can install easily.

1) Plug-in your USB flash drive to USB port

2) Open Command Prompt with admin rights.
Methods to open Command Prompt with admin rights:-
Type cmd in Start menu search box and hit Ctrl+ Shift+ Enter.
Or
Start menu à All programs à Accessories, right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

3) First type DISKPART and hit enter.
Next type LIST DISK command and hit enter and note down the Disk number (like: Disk 1) of your USB flash drive.

 4) I am assuming your disk drive no is “Disk 1”. If you have Disk 2 as your USB flash drive then use Disk 2. Use the above step to confirm it.
Now type the below commands one by one:
SELECT DISK 1
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
SELECT PARTITION 1
ACTIVE
FORMAT FS=NTFS
(Format process may take some time)
ASSIGN
EXIT
Don’t close the command prompt. We need to execute one more command. (Just minimized it).

5) Insert Windows7/Vista DVD into the DVD Drive and check the drive letter of the DVD drive. Here I will assume that your DVD drive letter is “G” and USB drive letter is “H”.

6) Maximize the minimized Command Prompt in the 4th step. Type the command now:
G: CD BOOT and hit enter. (Where “G” is your DVD drive letter)
Now type CD BOOT command and hit enter.

7) Type BOOTSECT.EXE /NT60 H: command and hit Enter to update the USB drive with BOOTMGR compatible code. (Where “H” is your USB drive letter)

8) Now copy Windows 7/Vista DVD contents to the USB flash drive.

9) Now USB drive is ready to boot and install Windows 7/Vista. Just change the boot priority at the BIOS to USB.
